THE EDITOR WRITES
Welcome to BNA on the internet!
I hope you enjoy your visit and want further to invite you to meet us/write to us for further information care of the contact address on the home web page.
"Country-Side" is the magazine for members of the organisation and is at the moment produced twice a year, although plans exist to return it to a more frequent publication.
You will see here a few extracts from the magazine which give you a taster of what to expect. There are many regular features on meetings, rambles, conferences and the like which should be of interest to the amateur naturalist-especially since the emphasis is on nature at your doorstep-British fauna and flora with practical guides, explanations, articles and helpful hints to make the mundane appear all the more intriguing.
Above all, we encourage involvement and participation- in writing articles/letters; in photography and in the study and documentation of findings.
Our founder, E. Kay Robinson, a media mogul of his day would be amused by the consternation that the new electronic technology has caused in some, but as an adventurer in nature and in life he would surely have approved of the opportunities afforded to "Country-Side" to harness and prosper under this new medium.
Anyway,I hope you enjoy what you read and see and look forward to receiving your comments, contributions and even subscriptions in the future. The BNA is a great organisation with a positive go-ahead attitude which I feel will really lead to some exciting opportunities for growth in the future. Onwards and upwards………
