Making a pressed flower collection
These are from a collection of
pressed flowers made by a young naturalist around 80 years ago,
why not make a collection yourself, for as you see if you do it
carefully they will keep for a long time as records. Today we can't
pick rare flowers such as orchids, unlike in Dorothy's time, but
you can still form a great collection.
Some pressed flowers from the BNA
Archive Herbarium collection of pressed flowers made by a schoolgirl,
Dorothy Collar in and around 1928 which she made in half a dozen
school exercise books.
